EQC Training provides SMP’s with practical and ready-to-use audit and compliance solutions. We use self-developed working paper templates to demonstrate ways that SMP’s may easily comply with professional standards and mitigate risk exposures arising from HKICPA practice reviews and FRC Inspection findings. Each training lesson provides working paper templates for attendees to download and use in their everyday audit work.
Through the compliance advisory experience of our partner, EQC Compliance Advisory, we also design our training courses from a Practice Review-oriented approach. Our training aim to help SMP’s prepare for regulatory reviews and manage professional risks by enhancing audit techniques and concepts that are necessary to address regulators’ concerns.
Each EQC Training lesson would share common practice review findings, and illustrate the type of audit documentation that would be expected to address these findings, effectively protecting CPA practitioners from potential disciplinary actions. EQC Training has also provide bespoke training lessons, as one of many remedial actions, addressing specific practice review findings.
Our Partners
EQC Compliance Advisory (EQC) is an audit compliance expert that consults CPA practices (corporates, partnership firms and sole practitioners) based in Hong Kong on practice review related issues. EQC provides practice review consultancy, monitoring review services, hypothetical audits for reference, mock practice reviews, quality control and Anti-money laundering compliance services, and general practice protection services.
Over the past 18 months, EQC has had the experience in consulting on over 50 practice review engagements. They were involved in the consultancy of preparation, submission of documents, monitoring review, and consultancy on selection of engagement files. They have also assisted in responding to practice review reports and the institute’s inquiries throughout the practice review process, with proposed follow-up and remedial actions.
They have collaborated with other key compliance professionals in the market, including but not limited to international professional law firms and AML sanction check service providers.
